These are our terms and conditions for the use of our website thecctvstore.co.uk and the purchase of products through the website.

The terms and conditions herein together with any notices or conditions on other areas of this website will all together govern use by customers of this website. You should note that The CCTV Store may at any time make changes to or remove part of this website without any liability to customers for such changes. The CCTV Store reserves the right to change these terms and conditions in the future without specifically notifying customers and continued use of the website or placing of orders after such changes shall be deemed to be acknowledgement and acceptance thereof.

A contract will only come into existence between you the customer and us once your order has been processed and dispatched. 

When you as a customer place an order via this website, you warrant by placing the order that:-

  • You are not a minor or otherwise legally incapable of entering into a binding contract.
  • The personal details which you give us on registration are fully complete and accurate.
  • You are not using a false name or the name of any other person or body which you are not authorised to use.
  • You agree The CCTV Store only sells to trade customers and when placing the order, you're doing so in trade capacity (B2B) and not Individual capacity (B2C) subject to terms stated in Trade-Only Basis below.
  • You agree to our returns policy including but not limited to Re-Stocking fee and return postage costs.

2. Placement of an order

When you place your order you are doing so in trade capacity (B2B) and in acceptance of these terms and conditions.

2.1 Business-to-Business (B2B) Supply - Trade Only

The CCTV Store conducts business strictly on a Business-to-Business (B2B) / Trade Only basis and supplies products and/or services exclusively to trade customers. By placing an order with The CCTV Store, the purchaser (“Customer”) expressly declares, confirms and warrants that they are acting in a business or trade capacity, and not as a private / individual consumer.

This includes, but is not limited to, all purchases made by sole traders, partnerships, limited liability companies, and any individuals or entities acquiring products or services for use in their commercial operations, professional activities or security project(s).

Where an individual or end user places an order, they do so solely in a trade or business capacity, and not as a consumer. All transactions are, therefore, governed by commercial laws applicable to B2B dealings, and do not fall within the scope of consumer protection legislations, including but not limited to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or any equivalent consumer legislation.

2.2 Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The CCTV Store, its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, and subcontractors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

2.2.1) Any breach by the Customer of these terms;

2.2.2) The misuse, modification, or misapplication of the products or services by the Customer or any third party;

2.2.3) The resale or onward supply of the products or services to any third party;

2.2.4) Any claim that the Customer is entitled to consumer protections under law, contrary to the express nature of this B2B Trade-Only relationship.

2.2.5) The Customer acknowledges and accepts that it is their sole responsibility to ensure that any product or service purchased is suitable for their intended commercial use prior to ordering.

2.3 Responsibility for Product Suitability

2.3.1) It is the sole responsibility of the Customer to determine the suitability and compatibility of any product ordered for their intended application, environment, or system requirements.

2.3.2) The CCTV Store provides products on a trade-only basis and does not offer advisory services for system design, compatibility assessments, or installation-specific recommendations.

2.3.3) By placing an order, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that:

a) They have conducted their own due diligence to ensure the product meets their technical, operational, and compliance needs;

b) They understand the specifications, functions, and limitations of the product;

c) They have consulted manufacturer documentation or a qualified professional where necessary to assess fitness for purpose;

d) They accept that no liability shall attach to The CCTV Store for any loss, incompatibility, installation issue, or return arising from the Customer’s failure to properly evaluate product suitability prior to ordering.

2.3.4) Returns or claims based on incorrect product selection, unsuitability, or misapplication—where the product is not defective—will not be accepted, except at The CCTV Store’s sole discretion and subject to the terms outlined in the Returns Policy and relevant sections below.

2.4 Installation and Use of Professional Security Products

2.4.1) The security products supplied by The CCTV Store are professional-grade systems designed to be installed, programmed, and commissioned only by trained and authorised security installation professionals.

2.4.2) These products often require specific training provided directly by the product manufacturer or brand, and may involve access to secure programming tools, portals, or installer accounts restricted to certified professionals.

2.4.3) By placing an order, the Customer expressly declares and warrants that:

a) They hold the necessary training credentials and approved installer account(s) issued by the relevant manufacturer or brand; or

b) They will engage the services of a qualified, trained, and approved professional installer or firm who holds such credentials and is authorised to install and commission the products;

c) They understand that improper installation or unauthorised access to configuration settings may result in product malfunction, security risks, or voiding of any manufacturer warranty or support;

d) They accept full responsibility for ensuring that installation and commissioning is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s technical and safety requirements.

2.4.4) The CCTV Store shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or non-performance resulting from improper installation, configuration, or commissioning performed by an unqualified or unauthorised individual or entity.

3. Cancelling an order

3.1 As a customer, you are free to cancel an order within 14 days before it's been dispatched and will be refunded the amount of your order to the account the order originally was paid from less any processing fee charged by the payment processor to The CCTV Store (minimum of 2% of the order value).

3.2 If an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled.

4. Acceptance of an order

When an order is placed you will get an order confirmation sent to the email address you provided during checkout, containing information about order content and prices.

5. Delivery

If your order has different shipping and billing address, we may ship to billing address if the transaction has been marked as a higher risk transaction by our platform. You as a buyer are free to choose from mentioned and at the time relevant delivery option(s). The CCTV Store assumes no responsibility for damages during transport or damages caused from any delays beyond its control. Our full shipping policy can be accessed Here.

6. Returns Policy

6.1 The CCTV Store returns are subject to Returns policy which can be accessed Here. This policy is subject to the conditions detailed below;

6.1.1 Trade-Only Basis - The CCTV Store operates strictly as a Business-to-Business (B2B) supplier, providing goods and/or services exclusively to trade customers.
6.1.2 By placing an order, the customer (“Customer”) confirms that they are acting in a commercial, trade or professional capacity and not as a private individual consumer.
6.1.3 All transactions are conducted under commercial terms, and as such, consumer protection legislation—including but not limited to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013—does not apply.

6.2 Discretion The CCTV Store may, at its sole discretion, agree to accept returns of unopened, unused, and sealed goods, subject to the following conditions:

6.2.1) A return request must be submitted via email within 14 calendar days of the delivery date.

6.2.2) Returned items must be in original, undamaged condition, with all packaging, seals, and labelling intact.

6.2.3) A handling fee of £15 per return will be applied and deducted from any credit or refund issued.

6.2.4) All return shipping costs, including insurance where applicable, shall be borne solely by the Customer.

6.2.5) Returned goods remain the Customer’s responsibility until received and accepted by The CCTV Store.

6.2.6) The CCTV Store reserves the right to inspect all returned items before confirming eligibility for a refund or credit. Items that do not meet the above conditions will be rejected, and no refund or credit will be issued.

6.3 Exclusion of Consumer Rights

6.3.1) The Customer expressly acknowledges that the purchase is made in the course of a business / trade and that statutory consumer rights do not apply.
6.3.2) Any return accepted under this policy is entirely at the discretion of The CCTV Store and shall not constitute an obligation or create precedent for future transactions.

6.4 Indemnity and Limitation of Liability

6.4.1) The Customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The CCTV Store, its directors, employees, agents, and affiliates against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, or expenses arising from:

6.4.2) Any assumption or representation that statutory consumer rights apply to the transaction;

6.4.3) Any breach of these return terms; or

6.4.4) Any onward resale, misrepresentation, or use of goods outside the agreed trade context.

6.4.5) The Customer accepts that the Company shall bear no liability or obligation to accept returns beyond what is expressly stated herein.

7. Liability

We try to have the information on this website as accurate as possible but we make no warranties, whether express or implied, regarding its accuracy. We also do not make any warranties regarding any matters relating to the use of this website and it is a matter for you to ensure that your own equipment is protected from viruses or other external factors.

Nothing in this website shall affect your rights under the applicable law.

8. Severance

If any of these terms and conditions shall prove to be void, unlawful, or unenforceable for any reason then such term or condition shall be deemed to be severed from the remaining terms and conditions which shall remain valid and enforceable.

If any provision of these terms and conditions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
